Kolesar Tops Bantam 2 AAA League
After a long 30 game season, the Bantam 2 AAA League has wrapped up and headed into playoffs.
Teams are now battling in a best of 7 series and look to find the slightest edge on their opponents.
For the Winnipeg Hawks they can take credit for having the leagues leading scorer in their lineup. Keegan Kolesar finished the season with 26 games played - 28 goals - 11 assists - for a total of 39 points.
Kolesar has been a dedicated student of the game, training at The Rink weekly with several other Winnipeg AAA players. Accepting the role of being the captain of the Hawks he has provided the team with strong leadership and has dictated his maturity on and off the ice - shown as he is consistently the first one stepping onto the ice to start training. Heading into playoffs Kolesar is well equipped with an arsenal of skill tactics in the offensive zone. Currently in the first round he has helped lead the Winnipeg Hawks to a 2-0 series lead over the Winnipeg Monarchs.
