Upcoming Clinics June 11th
Novice and Atom Clinic this week will be Stick-handling with the topic of Individual Puck Skills being covered. This is an area that Pro players practice daily to help them improve. You can often see players at the end of team practice take 10 minutes by themselves to work on something specific. This will be done here at the RINK. Instead of taking 10 min at the end, we will be working on this for 50 min on ice, 50 min off-ice and 30 min of boardroom education with video and coaching from one of The RINKs Professionals.
The Pee Wee and Bantam Clinic will be Scoring with the topic of Playing in the slot. We will work on Deflections and how to finish the play in this tough area. For many players this is a tough spot to be as it takes a lot of courage to stand in there when everyone on the other team is trying to move you out. When players get comfortable and play with confidence in this area, they will take their game to a higher level and be much harder to play against.
