The RINK Training Centre’s exciting Fall/Winter Clinics begin this upcoming weekend with 2 clinics on the schedule.
The first clinic of our new fall/winter programs will have the 7 – 9 year old all stars working on Stickhandling and getting their hands as soft as the newest Winnipeg Jet Mark Schiefele. The Clinic will focus on the basic stick handling techniques, from hand positioning to handling the puck in different areas around the body. This clinic will instil confidence in players when they have the puck, which will take their game to the next level.
*Drop off time is set for 2:30, with the 7-9 year old Stickhandling group starting in the Boardroom at 2:45, with ice to follow at 3:30.
Our second Clinic of the day will take our 10-12 year old skaters and introduce them to a key aspect for players to learn, Body Checking. This clinic will allow players to work getting comfortable with other players around them, both giving and receiving checks, and how to minimize impact of a hit along the board.
*Drop off time for 10-12 year old Body Checkers will be 4:30, board room to follow at 4:45, and ice to follow at 5:30.
This weekend is sure to be an exciting one, with two great topics on the slate at The Rink Training Centre. So don’t miss out on the opportunity to improve your STICKHANDLING and BODY CHECKING.
