Here Is How to Pass

I had to hang on to this clip for over a week but I felt like there wasn't a better example of passing the puck that I have seen in a long time.

A. Options- Off the power play face-off all players get in positions to support the puck.  When they are supporting the puck they are in a position to receive the puck on the forehand.

B. Know What They Are Going To Do With It- Before they get the puck, each player knows what he is going to do with it before they get it.  This ability to scan the ice and see the players allows for faster puck movement making it extremely difficult to defend against,

C. Goal- Good passes lead to good scoring chances, poor passes make you work on your break-out.

I am sure you have heard "The puck will always move faster then you can." The Red Wings show what skill can do when they are given time and space.  A great example of how passing the puck and supporting the puck can make a Power Play deadly.
